Meanwhile, Hawken lost 25-15 to Beachwood on Wednesday. While the Hawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bison 8-4 in the first period.
Ally Whiting was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ari Ruch, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Andrews Osborne Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Hawken, they dropped their record down to 4-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Andrews Osborne Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hawken struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
