The Splendora Wildcats came into Friday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past West Fork with a 47-41 victory on Friday. The win was just what Splendora needed coming off of a 61-37 loss in their prior contest.
Splendora was led to victory by Peyton Whaley and Jaydn McNeely. Whaley scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals, while McNeely dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Kelley, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Splendora's win bumped their record up to 16-13. As for West Fork, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-25 record this season.
Splendora will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Wildcats a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. West Fork will take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hargrave will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
