Softball Recap: Glenmora's Losing Streak Snapped at Nine Games

Glenmora can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They never let the Rapides Mustangs get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Kadence Cloud made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cloud was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Lillian Ryals was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jennifer Guillen, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Glenmora always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Glenmora's win bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Rapides, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenmora will venture away from home to face off against Tioga at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rapides, they will face off against Elizabeth at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
