Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westinghouse). They were the clear victors by a 32-13 margin over Steinmetz College Prep on Saturday.
Emily Coleman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jamilah Tobler, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases.
Westinghouse was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .558. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Westinghouse's record is now 2-3. As for Disney II, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
Disney II suffered a grim 17-5 defeat to Westinghouse in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
