Softball Recap: General Brown Takes a Loss

General Brown entered their match against Thousand Islands on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lions came up short against the Vikings, falling 8-1. Having soared to a lofty 30 runs in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.

Raegan Burgenstock spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and six unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

General Brown's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Thousand Islands, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coincidentally, General Brown and Thousand Islands will both be playing Sandy Creek the next time they take the field. The Lions will host the Comets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Vikings will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
