Chicago Mathematics & Science lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Joune Woods, who scored 16 points along with five steals and five blocks. Woods is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was August Ineka, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and eight steals.
Bowen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caleb Wright led the charge by scoring 19 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Carter, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Chicago Mathematics & Science's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7. As for Bowen, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chicago Mathematics & Science will challenge Legal Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bowen, they will head out on the road to face off against Steinmetz College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Steinmetz College Prep is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
