In what's become a running theme this season, the Greenfield Knights gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. Everything went their way against Cape Fear Academy as Greenfield made off with a 76-55 win. 76 seems to be a good number for Greenfield as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Cape Fear Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kareem Anderson, who scored 15 points along with two steals, and Isaiah Gibson who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Anderson is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Elijah Fajardo, who scored six points.
Greenfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for Cape Fear Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenfield's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on January 30th. Wayne Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Knights are ranked 35th). As for Cape Fear Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully John Paul II Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Friday.
