The Mammoth Huskies suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 82-48 loss at the hands of Rosamond. Mammoth has not had much luck with Rosamond recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Mammoth still got an impressive performance from Matt Toomey, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. Toomey has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Kaiam Trabulsi was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Rosamond was led to victory by Andrew Arredondo and Fabian Robles. Arredondo scored 20 points, while Robles scored 29 points. Arredondo is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cameron Gomez, who scored ten points.
Mammoth's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Rosamond, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-8.
Mammoth will be playing in front of their home fans against Kern Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kern Valley is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Rosamond, they will head out on the road to take on California City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. California City will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
