The Colfax Falcons won the last time they faced the Bear River Bruins, and things went their way on Friday too. Colfax walked away with a 21-13 win over Bear River.
Malachi Thompson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 138 yards and two touchdowns.
Bear River's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaden Cavolt, who rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and Blake Simning who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown. Cavolt really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
Colfax has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Bear River, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-5.
Colfax will be playing in front of their home fans against Amador at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bear River, they will head out on the road to face off against Liberty Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Liberty Ranch is ranked 430th, while Bear River is ranked 445th).
