Nick Sikorski went supernova for Staples, going 7 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 2 assists. It was the first time this season that Sikorski scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Dhilan Lowman, who scored 15 points.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryan Luchetta, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Henry Roy was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists.
Wilton struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Staples' win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Wilton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Staples will square off against the Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bridgeport Central is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Wilton, they will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Ridgefield's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven games.
