The Freer Buckaroos waltzed into their contest on Friday with 11 straight wins but they left with 12. They blew past La Villa 70-21 at home. Freer has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Samantha Barker, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Butler, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Freer has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for La Villa, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which lines up perfectly with their 4-12 record this season.
Freer will head out on the road to take on Kaufer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for La Villa, they will be playing at home against Agua Dulce at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Agua Dulce focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Tuesday.
