The Lemon Bay Manta Rays will face off against the Southeast Seminoles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Friday, Lemon Bay got the win against Hardee by a conclusive 16-5. The Manta Rays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.
Reagan Altieri spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Lemon Bay got a massive performance out of Cassidy Robejsek, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Robejsek a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mattie Couture, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.
Robejsek wasn't the only one making solid contact: Lemon Bay kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. The Manta Rays are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Southeast can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Lakewood with a sharp 22-4 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Seminoles' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Southeast also got a great performance from Lucero (Jada) Salas-Canales as she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off only two hits.
At the plate, Kaelyn Poole was a standout: she scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-6. Another player making a difference was Kimberly Cordero, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Lemon Bay is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Southeast, their victory bumped their record up to 2-10.
Southeast's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lemon Bay has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.3 hits per game. It's a different story for Southeast, though, as they've been averaging 14.7 hits. Given Lemon Bay's sizable advantage in that area, the Seminoles will need to find a way to close that gap.
Lemon Bay took their win against Southeast in their previous meeting last Tuesday by a conclusive 22-0 score. Do the Manta Rays have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Seminoles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
