Basketball Recap: Aledo Piles Up the Points Against Saginaw

Aledo waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed by the Saginaw Rough Riders to the tune of 52-23. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Saginaw saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jazmine Duncan posted six points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Duncan is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played.

Aledo's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-11. As for Saginaw, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season.

Aledo has already played their next contest (against Granbury), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Saginaw is taking a road trip to challenge Chisholm Trail at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Saginaw is facing Chisholm Trail at the right time seeing as Chisholm Trail is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
