Softball Recap: Lawrenceville School Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Lawrenceville School had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Gill St. Bernard on Monday. The Big Red were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Knights. The Big Red might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by nine runs or more this season.

Lawrenceville School's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Gill St. Bernard's, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrenceville School will head out to challenge Allentown at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gill St. Bernard's, they will take on Delaware Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Terriers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
