Dooly County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sean Sallette, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 20 points in addition to five boards and four blocks. Sallette continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Javion Sanders, who went 11 of 17 on his way to 20 points.
Treutlen's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Dooly County, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
Treutlen will host Wheeler County at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Treutlen knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Wheeler County likes a good challenge. As for Dooly County, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Dooly County Bobcats duke it out with the Crisp County Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
