Basketball Recap: Florala Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Florala entered their tilt with Andalusia on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They snuck past the Andalusia Bulldogs with a 70-65 victory. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 57-54 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Florala's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rayshon Coleman led the charge by putting up 22 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Coleman's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Dalton Jackson was another key player, posting 11 points and seven rebounds.

Florala's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. As for Andalusia, they moved to 6-3 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Florala will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kinston at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Andalusia, they will host Johnson Central at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
