While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Tigers are ranked fourth).
Oxford now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Independent, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
