Riverdale took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Fulton by a score of 10-7.

Danika Saddoris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Katie Cox was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Peterson, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple, and one RBI.
Riverdale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2025.
Meanwhile, Geneseo didn't have quite enough to beat Alleman on Monday and fell 4-3.
Addison Snell made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Penny Kline was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Riverdale's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Geneseo, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5-1.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Riverdale hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .367. However, it's not like Geneseo struggles in that department as they've averaged .378. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Riverdale came out on top in a nail-biter against Geneseo when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Maple Leafs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
