With Hodgeman County ahead 34-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
It was another big night for Owen Reece, who almost dropped a double-double on 33 points and nine rebounds. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Hodgeman County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hazen Rydquist, who scored 11 points along with eight assists and two steals.
Meanwhile, Satanta was beaten by South Central 67-40 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Satanta can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while South Central is ranked 65th).
Hodgeman County's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Satanta, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
