The Pensacola Christian Academy Warriors were the 70-64 winner over the Laurel Hill Hoboes when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Pensacola Christian Academy took a 78-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Laurel Hill on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jake Stoodt, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Stoodt has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Quincy Williams, who scored 21 points along with four steals.
Pensacola Christian Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Laurel Hill, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Pensacola Christian Academy and West Florida Baptist Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully West Florida Baptist Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday. As for Laurel Hill, they will be playing at home against Baker at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
