The East Ascension Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 89-10 loss at the hands of Walker. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points East Ascension has scored all season.
Walker's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamiya Vann, who scored 20 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedi Ard, who scored 16 points along with five steals.
East Ascension's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Walker, the win (which was their 28th in a row) raised their record to 30-1.
East Ascension will head out on the road to square off against the Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Denham Springs will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Walker will take on the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Live Oak will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Wildcats are ranked first).
