The Alemany Warriors were the 60-56 winner over the King/Drew Golden Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Alemany received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 67-50 to King/Drew. Alemany has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jared Mims, who scored 18 points. Mims scored a full 36% of Alemany's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jared Vieguela was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Alemany's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for King/Drew, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alemany will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eagle Rock at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for King/Drew, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harvard-Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harvard-Westlake has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 487 points over their last six matchups.
