Even though the Green River Pirates scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, the Wayne Badgers still came out on top. Wayne took down Green River 74-58. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wayne.
Jake Batty was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 35 points and 10 rebounds. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ammon Peterson, who scored 14 points.
Wayne's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Green River, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Wayne will face off against Green River at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Green River will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Tintic at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th.
