There's no place like home for the Huron Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 52-36 win over Edison on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Huron also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Edison lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kayden Bourget. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Coltyn Meagrow, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Even though they lost, Edison were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. This was only their ninth loss (out of 11 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Huron pushed their record up to 7-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Edison, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
Huron won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Fliers at 6:45 p.m. on February 3rd. Clyde has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 233 points over their last three games. As for Edison, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for South Central and three for the Chargers.
