While losing is never fun, Hilliard Davidson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while Dublin Coffman is ranked 143rd).
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Yuli Dowell, who scored 12 points. Dowell is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. Abby Starr was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Hilliard Davidson has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Dublin Coffman, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
Hilliard Davidson will look to defend their home court on Friday against Olentangy Liberty at 7:30 p.m. The timing isn't great for Hilliard Davidson: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Olentangy Liberty has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road. Dublin Coffman will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against St. Francis DeSales at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th.
