D'Majae Montgomery made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Bloom's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-9 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Christian Mendoza was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Bloom is undefeated when Mendoza posts two or more runs, but 4-9 otherwise.
