The Sutton Sammies had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They strolled past Nipmuc Regional with points to spare, taking the game 20-6. 20 seems to be a good number for Sutton as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
It was another big night for Landon Dulmaine, who rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Dulmaine is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played.
Sutton's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Nipmuc Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
Sutton will be playing in front of their home fans against North at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. North is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Nipmuc Regional, they will take on Northbridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northbridge comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
