After losing to Doral Academy the last time they met, Coral Gables decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cavaliers snuck past the Firebirds with a 51-46 victory on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Cavaliers, who have now won five games in a row.

Coral Gables' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marco Molinet led the charge by putting up 21 points. Those 21 points gave Molinet a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexander Edghill, who posted 14 points.

Doral Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael - Sebastian Moreno, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Alain Perez, who earned nine points.

Coral Gables' victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Doral Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
