West Shamokin extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Southern Huntingdon County. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Rockets. The victory was nothing new for the Wolves as they're now sitting on six straight.
Leah Mondi was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Malena Stewart, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Evie Grantz was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
