The Weldon Valley Warriors posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They blew past Two Roads Charter School, posting a 42-15 win on the road. The team accrued 31 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.
Weldon Valley was led to victory by Dane Johnston and Zander Braun. Johnston scored eight points along with eight rebounds, while Braun scored 20 points along with three steals. Braun continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Jayce Davis was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Weldon Valley and bumps their season record up to 2-9. As for Two Roads Charter School, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weldon Valley will challenge Otis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Two Roads Charter School, they will head out on the road to square off against Nederland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
