The Burlington Township Falcons will square off against the Westampton Tech Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Burlington Township is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.8 points per game this season.
Burlington Township is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Bordentown on Friday. Burlington Township walked away with a 52-40 victory over Bordentown. The 52-point effort marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Burlington Township's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quayd Hendryx led the charge by putting up 15 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isiah N'Diaye, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Burlington Township smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in six consecutive games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Westampton Tech put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They rang in the new year with a 61-49 win over Haddonfield. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Westampton Tech's win came from a few key players Burlington Township will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Daelan Dickerson, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 20 points and six rebounds. Those 20 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Jeanty, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 16 points and six assists.
Westampton Tech's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Burlington Township, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Burlington Township and Westampton Tech are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Burlington Township hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 60.8 points per game. However, it's not like Westampton Tech struggles in that department as they've been averaging 61.8 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Everything came up roses for Burlington Township against Westampton Tech in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 77-45 win.
