Softball Recap: Amador Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Amador, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Everything went their way against the Bradshaw Christian Pride on Friday as Amador made off with a 12-2 victory. Considering the Buffaloes have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Sophia Dooley, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Sydney Faria, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.

Dooley wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Amador kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for Amador: they were averaging 3.8 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.8.

Amador now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Bradshaw Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amador will challenge Rosemont at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bradshaw Christian, they will head out to take on Union Mine at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bradshaw Christian is facing Union Mine at the right time seeing as Union Mine is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
