Baseball Recap: True North Classical Academy Takes a Loss

True North Classical Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against North Broward Prep on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3.

William Foss was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, True North Classical Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Balsera, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

True North Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for North Broward Prep, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. True North Classical Academy will head out to square off against Nova at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nova's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so True North Classical Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Broward Prep, they will head out on the road to take on Killian at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
