The Osbourn Park Yellowjackets will challenge the North Stafford Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Osbourn Park will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Osbourn Park had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 20-run drubbing they dealt Osbourn on Friday. The Yellowjackets were the clear victors by a 20-0 margin over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Ella Onstott and Hayden Menefee did most of the damage at the plate: Onstott went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and one double, while Menefee went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Menefee has posted since back in May of 2024. Jenna Wilson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Osbourn Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Osbourn only posted an OBP of .222.
Meanwhile, North Stafford came up short against Riverbend on Tuesday and fell 8-5.
Kaylee Lizardo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
Osbourn Park's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for North Stafford, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
North Stafford's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Osbourn Park hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .405. It's a different story for North Stafford, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain Osbourn Park's hitters?
Osbourn Park beat North Stafford 4-0 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
