New Life Christian has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Grace Academy Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in New Life Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
New Life Christian pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their tough 78-55 defeat to Heritage Academy might stick with them for a while.
Meanwhile, Grace Academy lost to the Flames at home by a decisive 46-28 margin on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Grace Academy has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Peter Ciardiello, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 42.9% of Grace Academy's points, marking the tenth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronan Casey, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
New Life Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Grace Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
New Life Christian was able to grind out a solid win over the Knights in their previous meeting last Monday, winning 70-58. Will New Life Christian repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
