Arleta's contest on Friday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand the Grant Lancers a 3-0 shutout. Considering the Mustangs have won three matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Andrew Barajas and Erick Cabrera scored all three of Arleta's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Arleta's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three games. As for Grant, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.

Arleta will square off against Chavez at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chavez is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season. As for Grant, they will be playing at home against Poly at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
