Western's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from AC McDowell, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dakari Gill, who scored 6 points along with 10 rebounds and 3 steals.
Southeast Career Tech's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Diego Galarza, who scored 8 points. David Palomares was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
The win got Western back to even at 1-1. As for Southeast Career Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
