Silverado is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Clark.
Giovanni Guariglia made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Southeast Career Tech was able to grind out a solid win over Mater Academy East Las Vegas on Saturday, taking the game 7-2.
Like Silverado, Southeast Career Tech also got a great game from a two-way player: Briggs Barlow. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Barlow also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Southeast Career Tech is 6-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 10-15 otherwise. Barlow was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
