Volleyball Recap: Westville's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Westville can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Saturday. They came out on top against the South Bend Career Academy Trailblazers by a score of 2-0. The Blackhawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trailblazers, too.

Westville's offense was headlined by Kierstin Vargas and Alyssa Bechinske, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Myleigh Weaver and her 11 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Westville's victory bumped their record up to 10-14. As for South Bend Career Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Westville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Culver Community on the 7th. As for South Bend Career Academy, they will square off against LaVille at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
