The biggest upset of the week belonged to Ecorse, who took down 141st ranked Ecorse, 14-12.
Demarco Deasfernadez and Brian Henderson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Allen Academy. The connection was good for 57 yards, the longest such play in Michigan Metro this season.
Westside Christian Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Deasfernadez threw for 297 yards and Henderson had 197 yards receiving. On the ground Jajuan Kemp chipped in 101 yards. Karli Daniles helped Westside Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching six balls for 59 yards.
Westside Christian Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Deasfernadez has thrown for 600 yards this season, while Henderson has 21 catches for 403 yards. Kemp leads the league in rushing with 266 yards.
Detroit Community was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fourth in the league. The Hurricanes vanquished Willow Run 42-23 earlier in the week.
