The Fallbrook Warriors will take on the Classical Academy Caimans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Classical Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fallbrook, who comes in off a win.
Fallbrook not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 5, 2025 (when they won 13-3). They put the hurt on Southwest SD with a sharp 12-5 victory. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Evie Sholdar and Alicia Sorden made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Sholdar pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Sorden tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2025. At the plate, Sholdar went 3-for-4 with two runs, while Sorden went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Kate Nath was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That hit marked the first that she has got this season. Another player making a difference was Olivia Castillo, who went 2-for-4 with four runs.
Meanwhile, Classical Academy fell victim to Morse and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Caimans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
The win got Fallbrook back to even at 2-2. As for Classical Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Classical Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fallbrook hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. It's a different story for Classical Academy, though, as they've only averaged .186. Will they be able to contain Fallbrook's hitters?
