While Gilbert Classical Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Leading Edge Academy - GEC 3-0 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but Gilbert Classical Academy sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12, 25-16.

Zadok Hutchins paced Gilbert Classical Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hutchins got some help from Jotham Demellow and his 37 assists. Owen Stuckey controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Gilbert Classical Academy's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Leading Edge Academy - GEC, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Gilbert Classical Academy will host BASIS Phoenix at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leading Edge Academy - GEC, they will venture away from home to take on ALA - West Foothills at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Guardians will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each contest than the last.
