Valmeyer posted their biggest win since December 19, 2023 on Thursday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 60-26 victory over the Maryville Christian Lions. The Pirates pushed the score to 47-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions had little chance of recovering from.

Nate Laughlin and Levi Gray certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Laughlin posted 11 points, while Gray earned ten points and seven rebounds.

With the win, Valmeyer broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6. As for Maryville Christian, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Valmeyer will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Gibault Catholic at 6:00 p.m. Maryville Christian has already played their next match, a 39-33 defeat against Bunker Hill on the 31st.
