Leading Casa Grande to victory were Ryan Rice and Jeffrey Rice. Rice scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds, while Rice scored 15 points. The game was Rice's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andon Harris, who scored 8 points.
When it comes to explaining why Rancho Cotate lost, one person who can't be blamed is Adam Pengel. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with 9 rebounds. Pengel scored a full 41.8% of Rancho Cotate's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Decimus Shaw was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Rancho Cotate struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Casa Grande pulled down ten.
