The McDonough Rams posted their closest win yet this season on Wednesday. They skirted past Chopticon 36-34. Winning may never get old, but McDonough sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Cailyn Samuel continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with seven steals. Samuel is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Mikayla King, who scored six points along with six rebounds and six steals.
McDonough has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Chopticon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDonough will take on Patuxent at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Patuxent is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Chopticon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Thomas Stone at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
