Liberty Union is 2-8 against Teays Valley since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Liberty Union Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Teays Valley Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Liberty Union focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Liberty Union took a serious blow against Northridge, falling 59-30. Liberty Union has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Blake Shawver, who scored 6 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Manson, who scored 7 points.
Meanwhile, Teays Valley took care of business in their home opener on Friday (barely). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-45 win over Lancaster.
Liberty Union's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Teays Valley, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Things could have been worse for Liberty Union, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-45 loss to Teays Valley when the teams last played back in February. Can Liberty Union avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
