Addison is a perfect 4-0 against Camden-Frontier since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Redskins at 9:00 p.m. Camden-Frontier took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Addison, who comes in off a win.
Addison barely beat Vandercook Lake the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers never let the Jayhawks get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Saturday. The Panthers have beaten the Jayhawks the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Jayhawks has come to flipping the script.
Keira Wheaton was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Wheaton was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
In other batting news, Addison let Serenity Hinson and Caylee Campbell run wild. Hinson went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles, while Campbell went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave Hinson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Madison McNett, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Addison was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Camden-Frontier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Mendon, falling 15-2.
Camden-Frontier's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Addison, their win bumped their record up to 2-9.
Addison got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 against Camden-Frontier by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Redskins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
