Simla added to the longest winning streak in A-8 East - Black Forest (8 Man) this week by beating Kiowa, 30-8. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Pikes Peak Christian lost to Elbert 120-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jonathon Goode ran for 25 yards in the defeat.
Goode provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Pikes Peak Christian lost to the Bulldogs.
Goode was the best running back in the league this week. In 7 carries, he ran for 25 yards as Doug Miller's team topped the Indians.
Shane Zimmerman's team's Cody Norris and Kyler Hamacher have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Norris has thrown for 486 yards this season, while Hamacher has 14 catches for 246 yards. Jack Thomas from Kiowa leads the league in rushing with 634 yards.
Elbert made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 663 from 770. The improvement was the result of a 120-0 victory over the Eagles last week.
