Davis hasn't had much luck against Wenatchee recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Pirates will host the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Davis put up the most runs they have all season on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Eisenhower, sneaking past 18-16. Surprisingly, this marked the Pirates' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Lesli Badillo made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Badillo was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Taylor Harris was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emily Pulido, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Davis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 24 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Wenatchee had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 19-6 margin over Eisenhower on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.
Wenatchee got a massive performance out of Makinley Cardona, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Sutherland, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI.
The victory got Wenatchee back to even at 8-8. As for Davis, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-16.
Davis beat Wenatchee 13-8 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
