Logan enjoyed a cozy 54-36 win over the Bobcats on Friday. This was payback for Logan, who suffered a 39-37 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Western Plains saw an underclassman step up: Madelyn Kraus scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That was a full 69.4% of Western Plains' points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelyn Spangler, who scored three points along with ten assists.
Logan pushed their record up to 1-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Western Plains, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
